Cheadle Parish Church

We have carried out an inspection of the headstones in our churchyard recently and a number of them have had to be temporarily secured for safety reasons. Notices have been put on them asking for any relatives/contacts to get in touch with us.

We are asking anyone with an interest in the churchyard memorials of those with the following surnames to contact our Parish Manager, Sheila Holt on telephone: 0161 428 8050 by 1st March 2008. After that date the church may arrange for the headstones to be laid flat on their plots.

Malpas and Yarwood 1875-1953
Mellor 1867-1907
Biddolph 1868-1891
Gouldesborough 1858-1866
Kearsley and Carr 1878-1961
Bebbington and Hulme 1892-1979
Callan and Stanley 1895 -1942
