What's New At....

24:7 Annual Review March 2005

It has been very exciting to be part of the work and ministry of 24:7 over the past twelve months. The group has been growing continually, with people attracted to the fellowship and support that 24:7 provides.

Over its first year, a wide range of events have reached different aspects of 24:7. Already certain events are proving to be instant hits, with plenty more ideas in the pipeline for the future as well. (Such as: Film Nights, Bowling, Walk and BBQ/Pub Meal, Girls’ Nights, PS2 evenings, Pancake Party, T-A-C-O evening). In particular, the Drop-In before the 6:30pm service has been run faithfully every Sunday and continues to grow in popularity.

24:7 has been successful in serving the church as well as each other:

With advertising events and passing on information being an important aspect of 24:7’s work, the 24:7 website has proved successful with over a 1300 hits being made in its first year. The monthly prayer diary has also been an invaluable resource for sharing key prayer points, notifying people of the work 24:7 is engaged with, and building up the support networks amongst the wider church membership.

The main focus this year has been serving each other and growing in friendship and fellowship. Many of the people that make up 24:7 are new, so it has been great to use opportunities provided by 24:7 activities to get to know them better.

There are numerous areas for development, all with exciting possibilities.

Ultimately 24:7 is about people and the most exciting aspect of the work has been getting to know so many people better. In many ways 24:7 has only just begun in its ministry to young adults - but we thank God for all that He has graciously done already.
