OK Guys n gals we have a name and a logo!! In case you are wondering it is that thing on the left.

It might be naff but it will do now until someone comes up wiv a better idea (ideas welcome).

It says "In Transit" which I thought conveyed the sense of "moving on". That is what most of you are doing - in leaving the NET, leaving school and starting out on your "adult" journeys and what we as Christians are doing in living in this world but actually being part of (and belonging to) an eternal kingdom - in a sense we are passing through (transitting). But the key thing is that while we are passing through we a called to make a difference, to be a blessing to all those around us! That "blessing" may come in many different ways but the key thing is that it points to God.

The logo also helps to enforce the fact that this yr13+ group is a "transitional" group aimed at helping you to step between the NET (in most cases) and the wider church (whether it be in Cheadle or elsewhere).

In this group we hope to continue and build on the good teaching that you have had in the NET (if you were a member) and in church, but we hope to take it a step further, to be even more challenging and to give you opportunities to put into practice what you discover and learn. We also aim to use as many people from within the local church (not just Cheadle) as we can (so don't panic it won't just be Hedge & Anne).

We aim to offer regular weekly meetings which we hope most (if not all) of you will be able to make (it would be good to encourage one another).

The first meeting is on Friday 28th July at 27 Cheadle Wood, Cheadle Hulme (our house) from 6pm (so there's plenty of time to go clubbin afta). Gilly Hall is our first guest and the theme is "Making the most of reading the Bible" - there will be food provided!
